No unwanted or obscene videos can be seen on YouTube if Restricted Mode is turned on. As a result, children can safely use YouTube without the knowledge of their parents. To enable Restricted Mode on YouTube, you must first open a separate Gmail account for the child with the required information, including name and password. Now you have to start YouTube and login with the newly opened Gmail account in the Sign In option on the right side. After clicking on the user profile icon on the right side of the YouTube home page, you will see the Restricted Mode option below. Now click on Restricted Mode to activate the Active Restricted Mode option. As a result of this change, no videos that are inappropriate for children will be seen on YouTube.
The 'Restricted Mode' option can also be turned on in the YouTube app. For this, first you have to launch the YouTube app on the smartphone. Clicking on the user profile icon on the right side of the app will launch a new page. If you click on 'General' from 'settings' of the page, you will see the 'restricted mode' option. If you turn the mode 'on' from the option 'restricted mode' will be turned on.
It is also known which video the children are watching on YouTube. To do this, select the 'history' option on the left side of the YouTube home page. If the option is turned on, children have a chance to know when they have seen a video.
