3,958 were recruited in the 42nd BCS, excluding 43 people


 

The Ministry of Public Administration has published the gazette of the 42nd special BCS . This gazette has been published in the name of 3 thousand 956 candidates. Out of the recommendations made by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), 43 candidates have been dropped in the final notification.


According to the notification, the recruited doctors will have to work as apprentices for two years. If necessary, the training period may be extended. If a trainee is deemed unfit to remain in the job, the candidate can be removed from the job without giving any reason and without consulting the PSC. These appointed assistant surgeons will have to provide medical services to the patients suffering from Covid-19. Whether or not performance is satisfactory when providing medical care to patients with coronary heart disease will be considered during job security.


The Public Service Commission (PSC) released the final results of the 42nd Special BCS on September 9 last year. The PSC had recommended the recruitment of four thousand doctors who had passed the BCS. From there, 43 candidates were eliminated in the final notification.


In the context of Corona, the 42nd Special BCS was announced in 2020. 31,000 doctors took part in the preliminary examination (written type) held on 28 February. PSC released the results of this BCS on March 29, one month after the examination. 8 thousand 22 people passed it. After that, due to Corona, Viva of 42nd BCS was pushed back a few times. Later, PSC works specifically to expedite the recruitment of doctors. Despite the restrictions, they continue to work with special permission from the government.
