Spring and Valentine's Day have come together

Spring and Valentine's Day have come together. The one that Rabindranath Tagore wrote in his song, 'Come, but hold the companion hand in hand' — much like that. Today is Monday, Holy Falgun, 'Spring awake at the door'. And today is the day to write the name of a loved one in the temple of the mind in love - 14th February, World Love Day.

Spring is the messenger of youth, the symbol of new life. Rituraj is said to have been famous since time immemorial. The horizon faded in the thick fog of winter, the spring that brings roughness to the dying nature that has become rough in the wind of Kankan, brings the emergence of new buds. The cosmos came alive in the petals. Again, borrowing the words of Rabindranath, one has to say, 'Hero, the old ancient land has become greenery / as if the flow of youth has run to break the rule of time ... Sweet spring has come to bring sweet reunion.'

This renaissance of nature has an effect on the human heart. The heart is anxious to feel loved, anxious to be near loved ones. Emotions swelled to say the secret unspoken word of the heart in a deep voice. Today is the day to open the door of that heart.

Meanwhile, the western style Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day has been celebrated in our country for several years now. Especially the young generation has chosen this day to dedicate their love to the people in their minds.

Giving gifts, going out together, going out to eat somewhere — then that thrilling moment, that ever new word of that everlasting emotion — I love you. This is, if you can be a prisoner of love, who wants to get rid of it.

The first place in the gift of love is flowers. On this Valentine's Day, most flowers are sold in one day in the country. Imamul Hossain, general secretary of Bangladesh Flower Society, an organization of flower growers and sellers, told Prothom Alo that flowers worth around Tk 90 to 100 crore are sold across the country on Valentine's Day. Flowers worth around Tk 50 crore are sold in Dhaka alone. Besides, flowers worth around Tk 10 crore are sold in Dhaka in the holy spring. However, this time the total sales will be less as spring and love day fall together.

Today, men and women of all ages, adorned in basanti sari and yellow Punjabi, will take to the streets with flowers. Today the spring festival will be held at 7.15 am on the open stage of Suhrawardy Udyan.

Coronary artery disease has changed people's lives. I had to cover my face with a mask. We have to stay apart. Occasionally there is an order to avoid public gatherings, a ban on organizing large social festivals. Even survivors have been under house arrest for days. Isolation seems to have become an inevitable sign of overcoming this perilous time.

But how can a person survive without the closeness of society, family, loved ones what it means to be truly alive! After a long winter, warm spring awakens in nature. The golden sun of El Falgun to remove the thick fog, the wind blowing south wind.

Let's hope that nature and environment will be free from the might of this sun, this warmth, this great life. All inertia of the body, exhaustion will be cut off. Hypnosis may have changed a lot, but it did not change people's eternal passion. This spring, love will blossom there.
