SSC and HSC and equivalent examinations were taken last year by reducing the subjects and numbers in Corona epidemic. This time, even if the number is kept half in these exams, the subject is increasing more than last time. Last time, only three group-based electives were tested. This time along with them, there are plans to take exams in most subjects including Bengali, English and Mathematics.
A recent meeting between Education Minister Dipu Moni and officials of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, the Board of Education and the National Curriculum and Textbook Board was held, several officials of the Dhaka Board said on Tuesday.
According to the officials, this time it is being planned to examine all other subjects except information and communication technology, religion and Bangladesh and world identity. These examinations will be conducted according to the rearranged syllabus prepared by NCTB.
Asked about this, SM Amirul Islam, Controller of Examinations, Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education, told Prothom Alo that various discussions have been held on the examination. But no final decision has been made.
It is learned that the meeting also discussed about taking SSC exams in May and HSC exams in July. However, a senior official of the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education told Prothom Alo that the meeting took place when the educational institution was open. But now due to corona infection, classroom teaching in educational institutions is stopped. As a result, it is not certain whether the test can be taken during the meeting.
